| This was my 1974 Javelin AMX. I bought it in stock condition in 1978. It had all options except a 401. I painted it, added Western wheels, rebuilt the 360, headers, Holley, Competition Cam, Zemco drive computer, shift kit, plus many NOS items. I sold it around 1985. A year later, my wife and I were at a Drive-in when the guy (punk) I sold it to pulled up next to us, The car was trashed, it had been wrecked and pot was rolling out the windows. We pulled away in disgust, I never saw it again. VIN was A4C798P170346 in case anyone sees it, let me know...............................................................
UPDATE! I found the fate of this Javelin, although sad, The punk I sold it to had sold it to a nice gentleman I met at an AMC show. Turns out the car was rusted very bad, he stripped it, pulled the motor and had it crushed. He still has the motor and parts today. |
